THE TUNDRA: BIOME OF THE ARCTIC

Of the number of biomes across the globe, the tundra is one of the harshest and coldest of environments. Covered with snow most of the year, the tundra is typically cold and windy, with little rain and many mountains.

ANIMALS IN THE TUNDRA

Despite the harsh conditions of the tundra, a variety of organisms survive and thrive in this biome. Among these include hefty bears, birds of prey, and sea dwellers; from the polar bear, to the andean condor, to the sea lion.

THE RAINFOREST: BIOME OF THE TROPICS

A stark contrast from the harsh conditions of the tundra, the tropical rainforst biome is teeming with life and one of the most vibrant biomes. Hence it's name, the rainforest is typically rainy, hot, and humid.
